The project aims at developing an integrated waste management system for the biodegradable waste generated by the slaughter house, mutton market and fish market. The project includes the installation of a Biogas plant with a capacity 2 TPD along with a generator with 10kVA capacity to generate 225 units per day to be used at the nearby STP and for street lighting. The project work was completed and the biogas plant was inaugurated on 5th June, 2010.
